Advanced Dento-Facial Orthopaedics – Melbourne (August 2022)
- August 4, 2022 - August 6, 2022
9:00 am - 5:00 pm
This seminar begins with an in-depth review of the standard orthopaedic appliances including a written quiz for each appliance. This allows each doctor to evaluate his or her own level of understanding.
We will then cover more advanced orthopaedic cases like children suffering with cleft palates and the orthopaedic and orthodontic preparation for skeletal Class III cases requiring orthognathic surgery.
We will outline why obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA) is a critical issue for both children and adults and that proper diagnosis and treatment are essential to the overall health and quality of life for our patients.
Once you understand how jaw development affects facial bone and dental malocclusion, you will see importance of maxillo-facial orthopaedics in treating patients with developmental issues relating to the oral facial complex.
